MEZCLA 2023
"Mezcla" was a vibrant group exhibition held in the heart of Mexico City, featuring a dynamic collaboration between artists from the Arhouse initiative and renowned Mexican creators. This unique show blended diverse artistic voices, highlighting both emerging talent and established figures within the Mexican art scene.
My contribution to the exhibition was a series of paintings titled "Mexican Flowers," which sought to celebrate the beauty and strength of women through the lens of native Mexican flora. Each piece in this collection portrays women who embody the spirit and essence of iconic flowers found in Mexico's rich and varied landscape. Through this series, I aimed to capture the deep connection between women and nature, exploring themes of identity, resilience, and the profound cultural significance of flowers in Mexican heritage. The paintings serve as both a tribute to the country's natural beauty and a reflection on the powerful presence of women within it.
